Lorena Maximo and The Hygiene Framework
I am a dental hygiene professional passionate about helping internationally trained dentists successfully transition into the American dental hygiene field. Through education, mentorship, and real-world guidance, my mission is to help foreign-trained professionals gain the practical knowledge, confidence, and cultural understanding needed to thrive in the United States dental environment.
After seeing how many internationally educated dentists struggle not only with licensing exams, but also with adapting to the day-to-day realities of clinical practice in the U.S., I decided to create a training platform focused on the skills that are often overlooked during the licensing process. My goal is to bridge the gap between passing board exams and becoming a successful, confident, and respected dental hygienist in real clinical settings.
My training focuses on the practical side of dental hygiene, including patient communication, clinical workflow, professional expectations, periodontal care, time management, documentation, teamwork, and understanding the culture and standards of American dentistry. I believe that success in this profession requires more than technical knowledge — it also requires confidence, communication, and the ability to connect with patients and coworkers in a professional and compassionate way.
As someone who understands the challenges of adapting to a new professional environment, I am committed to creating a supportive and encouraging space where dental professionals can learn, grow, and feel empowered in their careers.
Through my courses, mentorship, and educational content, I hope to help more internationally trained dental professionals build successful careers, create new opportunities for themselves and their families, and feel truly prepared for the realities of practicing dental hygiene in the United States.
